About the Role
Our client is hiring a Cybersecurity Engineer to safeguard critical infrastructure, data, and systems across cloud and on-prem environments. This role is ideal for professionals with a security-first mindset, hands-on technical skills, and a deep understanding of modern threat landscapes.
This is a fully remote position. Note: This role may be offered as either a full-time position or a contract engagement, depending on the candidate’s preference and experience level.
Responsibilities
Design and implement security controls across applications and infrastructure.
Conduct threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
Monitor systems for anomalies and respond to incidents.
Ensure compliance with frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST.
Partner with engineering and IT teams to embed security into development workflows.
Requirements
2+ years in a cybersecurity or security engineering role.
Experience with SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions.
Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) and cloud security (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Strong understanding of networking, encryption, and identity management.
Familiarity with compliance standards and security governance.
